Manaslu Base Camp is a strenuous trek that will test the physical fitness of the adventure lover. But you will be rewarded with one of the most mesmerizing spectacles that you have ever witnessed. This area has opened recently for trekking; never the less trekking in this region around Manaslu is a lifetime’s experience. The trails are relatively empty of tourists, the culture and traditions of the people are intact, and the scenery is splendid. This trek follows a route that has long been covered by Himalayan buffs, going north behind Himalchuli (7,893 m.) and Mt. Manaslu (8,118 m.) It explores villages where westerners are still a rare sight and the way of life unchanged for decades, even centuries. Starting from Gorkha the home of famous Nepalese Infantrymen, the trail passes through primitive villages where the people are shy, often running away from the camera wielding trekkers.
