DAY 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (1335 meters)
After arriving in Kathmandu representative of Nepal Trekking Trial associate with Actual Himalayan Group will pick up you by our private vehicle and transfer you to the Hotel.
DAY 02: Kathmandu
Sight-seeing around Kathmandu valley which includes the Hindu temple, Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old Stupa) and visit Patan city of fine arts and finally back to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu
DAY 03: Kathmandu to Arughat
After an early breakfast we'll start our beautiful journey with drive through the beautiful river view & Nepalese countryside to reach at Arughat, Arughat is on the footsteps of Manasalu. It takes about 5 hours (142km) from Kathmandu to reach Arughat, our trek start point. Overnight in Arughat
DAY 04: Arughat-Soti Khola (710m)
After breakfast this morning we will begin our trek by walking from Arughat to Soti khola which takes about 5 hours. Overnight in Soti khola
DAY 05: Soti Khola- Maccha Khola (900m)
After having breakfast we cross the bridge, we trek through the beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki. We then reach Khursane upon which the rocky trail weaves its way up and down, past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. We head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Machha Khola village. Overnight in Machha Khola
Day 06: Maccha Khola to Dobhan; 6-7hours
Today we will make our way through some steep ascents and descents to Dobhan from Maccha Khola. Dobhan is situated at the meeting point of Shiar Khola which flows from the east and Sarpu Khola which flows from the west. Overnight in Dobhan
Day 07: Dobhan to Philim(1550m); 6hours
From Dobhan we will go through the rocky trail from the middle of small trees offering the magnificent panorama of Sringri himal to our camping site in the village of Philim. Philim is a large Gurung village having the fields of corn and millet. The area has several campsites surrounded by alder, blue pine and poplar trees. Overnight in Philim
Day 08: Philim to Chumling( Lower Tsum); 7hours
From Philim today our trail heads up over the ridge to Ganesh Himal Base Camp and then Chumling( Lower Tsum). Overnight in Chumling
Day 09: Chumling to Chhokangparo( Upper Tsum); 5-6hours
From Chumling we will make our way to Chhokangparo( Upper Tsum). Upper Tsum valley opens from Chhokangparo. Chhokangparo is a small village placed on flat land and is made up of two villages Chhekam and Paro. The village offers the magnificent view of Ganesh Himal in the south and Buddha Himal and Hiunchuli in the south west. Some families in this village practice polyandry. Overnight in Chhokangparo
Day 10: Chhokangparo to Nile/ Chhule 6-7hours
From Chhokangparo we will trek to Nile/ Chulle which is situated in the western side of Shiar Khola. This is the last village in the upper Tsum valley.On the way we will visit Piren Phu cave which is also one of the holiest caves in the Tsum valley. The area has two separate gumbas added to the rocky cave which have Buddhist murals painted, excellent artistic scripts carved on stones, long prayer flags and significant Buddhist paper scripts making this cave socio-cultural asset in the valley. Day 11: Nile/ Chhule to Mu Gompa(3700m) 4hours
From Nile our trail gently goes uphill to Mu gompa which is the largest monastery in the region. The gompa is located in the highest and farthest ridge of Tsum valley. Situated the altitude of 3510m the gompa was built in 1895AD.On the way to Mu Gompa we will visit Dephyudonma Gompa which is one of the oldest monasteries in Tsum valley and is situated in the midst of Rocky Mountains at the distance of 2hour walk from the village of Chhule and Nile. The history of this monastery is associated with the dawn of Buddhism in the valley. The monastery is run by Lama Serap and Nile Ladrang belonging to Kangin sect. Overnight in Mu Gompa
Day 12: Extra day for exploration in the area
From Mu Gompa we will hike to the base of Pika Himal(4865m). The area is pretty close of Tibet and offers the astounding view of Tibetan peaks as well as Ganesh Himal range. After exploring the area we will return to our camping site in Mu gompa. Overnight in Mu Gompa
Day 13: Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa 5hours
Today after having breakfast we will trek to Rachen Gompa from Mu Gompa. The Gompa is situated in Shiar Khola Valley in the lap of mountains bordering Nepal and Tibet. Established in 1905AD Rachen Gompa is one of the largest nunneries in the Tsum valley. Overnight in Rachen Gompa
Day 14: Rachen Gompa to Dumje 6-7hours
Today after having breakfast, we will leave Rachen Gompa and we will make our way to our camping site in the small village of Dumje. Overnight in Dumje
Day 15: Dumje to Philim via Ripchet 6-7hours
From Dumje we will trek to Philim via Ripchet. On the way we will pass through one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Samba lingding Chhupyant in the Lower Tsum Valley. Overnight in Philim
Day 16: Philim to Tatopani 6-7hours
Leaving Philim behind us we will trek to Tatopani which is hot water spring. In hot water we can relieve our tired muscles. Overnight in Tatopani
Day 17: Tatopani to Soti Khola 6-7hours
Today we will make our way through terraced fields and tropical waterfalls we will trek to our camping site in the village of Soti Khola. Overnight in Soti Khola
Day 18: Soti Khola to Arughat Bazaar 6-7hours
From Soti Khola the trail drops down to Arughat Bazaar which is the last point of the journey. Overnight in Arughat Bazaar
Day 19: Arughat Bazaar to Kathmandu
After an early breakfast we'll start our beautiful journey with drive through the beautiful river view & Nepalese countryside to reach Kathmandu. It takes about 5 hours (142km) from Arughat to reach Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 20: Departure
A representative from Nepal Trekking Trial will transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with lots of a hope of seeing you again in the future.
