Upper Mustang trek is remote cultural trekking in the rain shadow area of Nepal. Upper part of Mustang region is famous for Tibetan influence culture and landscape which provides similar taste of Tibetan life. Lo-Manthang is the capital of Mustang. The region was a separate state called Mustang but now it is the part of Nepal. Still the local culture is preserved by the ex-king of Mustang. Trekking in Upper Mustang is wonderful walking journey to the hidden land of high Himalayan plateau.

The ancient Kingdom of Mustang the capital Lo Manthan was attached to Tibet in the 14th century, Although it retained its identity as an autonomous dynasty throughout the centuries which is a walled city with their own present King Jigme Prabal Bista and the people still remain predominantly Tibetan.

One of the region in which outsiders are inaccessibled. By this isolation, life has almost unchanged for centuries.On the Trek, the Great River Kali Gandaki with a majestic and fast flowing river which have carved a deep george through the himalayas and to the plains.

Pokhara - Jomsom flight & Trek to Kagbeni

Trek to Chele
Day 06 :
Trek to Eklobhatti

Trek to Ghami
Day 08 :
Trek to Tsarang
Day 09 :
Trek to Lo Manthang
Day 10 :
Explore Lo Manthang & Eastern Valley, Nyphu, Gharphu
Day 11 :
Trek to Tange 3240m.
Day 12 :
Trek to Tetang
Day 13 :
Trek to Muktinath
Day 14 :
Trek to Jomsom
Day 15 :
Flight back to Pokhara. Transfer to the Hotel. A free afternoon in Pokhara
Day 16 :
Back to Kathmandu.

  • Full board meals BLD ( breakfast, lunch, and Dinner) during the trek as per available food menu in tea houses/Lodges

  • TIMS card Permit (Trekkers Information Management System) for responsible tourism and porter protects

Not Included

  • Nepal Visa fee USD25 for 15 days, USD40 for 30 days or if extending your stay USD100 for 90 days. All are multiple entries. You will also need a passport photo. The visa fee can be paid in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling or Euros. (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs)
  • International flight ticket to arrive in Kathmandu
  • Entrance fee/ monument heritage site fee/ museum fee while sightseeing around Kathmandu valley
  • Excess baggage charges( 15kg allowed ok Kathmandu Lukla flight ) 1kg = $1 USD
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu
  • Lunch and Dinner in Pokhara

  • Meals and accommodation in Kathmandu if early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
