Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek

The Mardi Himal  Base Camp Trek can be listed as the special offer which is newly established for all but it is especially for those people who wants to avoid the crowded treks of Annapurna and be relieved. Mardi Himal Trek offers the high quality and best quality view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. Jhinu Hot spring and Ghandruk village is the major places of attraction for trekkers during this trek. Though the availability of foods and accommodation on the route is at the bare minimum, Mardi Himal Trekking is still an enjoyable trekking route which requires minimum effort; it’s a peaceful trekking route with very few trekkers along the way.


Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. (1335 meters)
After arriving in Kathmandu representative of Nepal Trekking Trial associate with Actual Himalayan Group will pick up you by our private vehicle and transfer you to the Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Sight-seeing around Kathmandu valley which includes the Hindu temple, Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old Stupa) and visit Patan city of fine arts and finally back to hotel. The trek leader will meet the group for a meeting and provide a detailed briefing on the trek. All the required information regarding the trek would be provided. Overnight at hotel
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara. (900 meters)
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will take a ride to the lake city, Pokhara following Trishuli River. Afternoon can be enjoyed by the lake as the hotel is located near to the lake. (5-6 hours drive). Stay Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara to Dhampus (1600m)
After having breakfast we will take a drive about 30min to reach Phedi. Then we will start our trek straight up the hill to reach Dhampus valley. The spectacular panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan range from Dhampus makes your trip unforgettable. Overnight in Dhampus
Day 5: Dhampus to Forest Camp (2480m)
After walking about 6 hours we will reach to forest camp. On the way we pass through the forest of rhododendron, maple, hemlock, mountain oak, and daphnia. Overnight in Forest Camp
Day 6: Forest Camp to Low camp (3150m)
Today we will climb through the moist forest which consists of mosses and lichen, tree ferns and orchids. On the way we can have scenery of sacred Mt. Machhapuchhare, Mardi Himal and Annapurna range. Overnight in Low camp
Day 7: Low Camp to High Camp (4100m)
After having breakfast early in the morning we will start our trek to reach our highest point of the trek. If weathers/conditions are favorable then we will climb up to 15,000/16,000 ft. The spectacular panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan range from the top of the Mardi Himal makes your trip unforgettable. Overnight in High Camp
Day 8: Rest day
Today we will take a rest day as we trek a lot on the past day. On the leisure time we will make a short hiking over around. Overnight in High Camp
Day 9: High Camp to Siding Village (1280m)
Today on the 9th day of Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek, we will get back from the high camp. We will take a route down to the upper Mardi Khola to reach the hill-side village of Siding. Overnight at Siding Village
Day 10: Siding Village to Pokhara
After a short walk we will take a transport to reach Pokhara. After having lunch in Pokhara we will explorearound Pokhara Valley like Mahendra Cave, David's fall, Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake etc. Overnight in Pokhara
Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu which will take approximately 5-6 hours. Then transfer to Hotel. Afternoon free at Kathmandu Hotel
Day 12: Departure
A representative from Nepal Trekking Trial will transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with lots of a hope of seeing you again in the future.

  • Three nights’ accommodation in a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu with Buffest breakfast
  • Welcome or farewell dinners (depend up to your arrival and departure time)
  • Kathmandu to Kathmandu surface transportation ( road and flight )
  • Transportation road and flight for Guide and Nepali crews while applicable
  • An experienced English-speaking trek leader (trekking guide), assistant trek leader (4 trekkers: 1 assistant guide) and High Altitude trekking local Sherpa porters to carry your luggage (2 trekkers:1 porter maximum weight 20 kg) including their allowance wages ,salary, insurance, equipment, flight, food and lodging expenses during a trek
  • Full board meals BLD ( breakfast, lunch, and Dinner) during the trek as per available food menu in tea houses/Lodges
  • Three times a cup of tea or coffee during the trek
  • Teahouse/Lodge accommodation during trek on twin sharing basic (will provide single bedroom where ever available if you traveling solo travelers)
  • Down jacket and trekking Equipment for local Staff
  • Annapurna conservation area Permit Fee (ACAP)
  • TIMS card Permit (Trekkers Information Management System) for responsible tourism and porter protects
  • Basic group medical supplies for normal health problem and injured (First Aid medical kit will be available)
  • Medical and health insurance for local crew members
  • All government and local taxes (25% income tax and 13% Vat )

Not Included

  • Nepal Visa fee USD25 for 15 days, USD40 for 30 days or if extending your stay USD100 for 90 days. All are multiple entries. You will also need a passport photo. The visa fee can be paid in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling or Euros. (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs)
  • International flight ticket to arrive in Kathmandu
  • Excess baggage charges( 15kg allowed ok Kathmandu Lukla flight ) 1kg = $1 USD
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu
  • Lunch and Dinner in Pokhara
  • Meals and accommodation in Kathmandu if early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
