Gokyo and Renjo La pass trek is one of the most scenic, adventurous and exciting trekking destination of Everest region. This fascinating trek is popular for its shinny and snow capped Gokyo Lake. You can see the Everest view itself clear and shiny. Everest base camp trek is more renowned but if it is the mountains and alpine scenery that counts Gokyo lake trek is even better destination is the serene lake of Gokyo located at (4750m) and the nearby Gokyo-Ri (5,350m) for the finest Everest view and other mountains of the region.  Gokyo and Renjo La Pass trek offers you a chance to visualize the perfect scenery of mighty Mt Everest, fascinating snow covered forest and villages, shiny lakes, colorful villages of Sherpa people and many more natural and cultural beauty of Nepal.

This trek leads you through several colorful Sherpa villages where you encounter with loving and warm hospitality of Sherpa people. You will see the origin of the legendry Sherpa’s expertise for high mountaineering all over the world which is Thame. Here you will encounter the untouched and traditional Sherpa culture. The people there follow a traditional way of living following their culture. The trek provides you an opportunity to cross the Renjo La Pass and also visit the Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri Peak. This is one of the most exciting trek in the Everest Region.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2800m/9383ft) trek to Phakding (2652m/8700ft)

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11290ft)

Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

Day 05: Trek to Dole (4410m/13,152ft)

Day 06: Dole to Machhermo (4470m/14663ft)

Day 07: Trek to Gokyo (4750m)

Day 08: Acclimatization/Rest day at Gokyo

Day 09: Climb to Gokyo Ri (5357m) and Thaknak (4750m)

Day 10:  Cross the Renjo La Pass (5400m)

Day 11: Trek to Thame

Day 12: Trek to Lukla

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu

Day 14: Final Departure.

<p>Upon your arrival we assist you from international airport to our hotel. We the representative from Nepal Trekking Trials we then escort you to our office. Explore around at evening and enjoy the welcome programs at hotel. Overnight at hotel.</p>

After having our breakfast we will be flying to Lukla Airport from a domestic flight from Kathmandu. The flight offers us magnificent views of the green landscapes and snow capped mountains of the Khumbu region. After 35 minutes of flight in the most wonderful air route of the world we will reach to Tenging Hillary Airport or Lukla Airport. After landing in Lukla airport we will meet our rest of the team members, have our lunch and trek to Phakding following a downhill trial. We will have a short trek today. Overnight at Phakding.

We will wake up early in the morning and begin our trek after having breakfast. Our trial will have few short ascend and descent crossing several suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River. If the weather favours us we will have our first view of Everest today. We will reach to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park where they check the trekking permits to keep records of the Trekkers and the local trekking staffs. There we can also see the abundant variations of flora and fauna. After walking few hours through the path surrounded by green forests offering pleasant views we will reach to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a home to several Lodges, restaurants, internet cafes and hotels. We will have our overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Today we will be roaming around Namche Bazaar. Spending a day at Namche Bazaar will help our body get used to the atmosphere and lower content of oxygen in the air. We can hike up to the hill which offers the best views or visit the Sherpa museum. The market itself is an interesting place to move around. Exploring the Namche Bazaar you will get amazed how tourism can be beneficial for a country. The town is full of colorful markets, internet cafes, hotels, and many more attractions. You can get every type of facilities there. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

We will have our breakfast in Namche watching the beautiful view of sunrise over Himalayas. After having breakfast we will be moving towards Dole. We will head up to the monastery path and then walk to a fairly flat trial until we reach to Sansaa. From there we will have a steepy climb up to Mong La. Here we will stop for a lunch watching the panoramic views of the mountains. We will then decline to Phortse Tenga where we can see terraced potato fields and yaks along the way and again climbing up through beautiful rhododendron forests we will reach to Dole. It is a small village having lodges and tea houses. Our overnight will be at Dole.

After having our breakfast at Dole we will start our trek. Today we will have comparatively short walk than that of yesterday. We will have a shot uphill and downhill trial along our way. We will climb a steep trial along the hills of Dole. Along our way we will pass through several villages, rivers, streams and forests which provide eye catching picturesque. Overnight at Machhermo.

We will wake up early in the morning get freshen up and after having our breakfast we will be heading towards Gokyo. We will climb a ridge where we get excellent view of the valley and the Cho Yu Mountain. Our trial goes through Phangkha where an avalanche in November 1996 killed many people including trekkers and villagers. After that our trial descends through the bank of river and then we will hike up to the mortal moraine of the Ngozamba Glacier. The steep climb by the side of the glacier will eventually lead us to an iron bridge over a stream which flows from the frist lake of Gokyo known as Longpongo. We will soon arrive at the second lake crossing the glacier path which heads to Cho La pass. At the end of our day we will climb by to the third lake Dudh Pokhari where the Gokyo valley stands by. Overnight at Gokyo.

Today we will be moving around the Gokyo valley. As we have climbed at an altitude of 4750m our body needs some rest. But it doesn’t mean we will stay idle we will be just not trekking to higher altitude but will be visiting around the Gokyo valley to help our body adjust the atmosphere. We will be visiting to the fifth lake Ngozuma Tsho and fourth lake Thonak Tsho which is about 3km north of Gokyo and has great views. If the weather favours us then we can also hike up to Gokyo Ri to get the excellent views of the Everest Region. Overnight at Gokyo village.

After having our breakfast we will start our today’s trek. the trek begins with a steep climb up to the top of the Gokyo Ri. The climb is quite tougher and laborious which is complimented by the breathtaking views from the top. We will be surrounded by beautiful mountains. After enjoying the beautiful panoramic views of the Khumbu mauntain rang such as Mt. Everest, Mt.Nuptse, Cho Yu, Makalu etc we will descend to Thanak. Our overnight stay will be at Thanak.

Today we will be trekking to the Renjo La Pass. The trek today is quite difficult due to the steepy ups and down trials with sandy ridges. During our trial we will see several frozen streams and pass through several yaks Kharkas.The top offers the magnificent views of the mountains which are incredible. After spending some time there we will return back to Thaknak for overnight.

Today we will have our early morning breakfast and then we will trek to Thame. During our trial wewill also see the traditional salt trading route used by the Sherpas. We will pass through several Sherpa villages along our way. Overnight at Thame.

Today we will be trekking to Lukla. We will pass by the several small villages tucked into the valleys corner. On our way we will also see different local animals grazing along the way walk through several stone paved roads witnessing some eye catching views. Our overnight will be at Lukla.

Our journey in the Himalayas ends today. We will have our breakfast at Lukla and take a flight to Kathmandu. For the last few minutes we will be witnessing the mountains and some of the routes we have travelled. After landing in Kathmandu Airport our representatives will take you to the hotel. At evening we will have small get-together and farewell dinner celebrating the completion of a wonderful journey.

We will bid a goodbye to you with a hope to see you soon. Our representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport few hours before your flight.
