The Langtang Valley trek is one of the closest trekking destination from Kathmandu and is lesser used by both trekkers and local. The Langtang valley is aptly called the valley of glaciers here; mountains raise soaring toward the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy down and meadows sprinkled with daises and wild animals. In the upper part of the valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants. Once you enter the Langtang valley you will see fluttering buddies prayer flags, brightly painted.
This trek is closer to Kathmandu than other trekking region. Just after the monsoon, this trek gives superb views of the great peak of Langtang Lirung (7246m), which dominates the upper valley and be astride the Tibetan border. In springtime it is an ideal place to spot birds and flowers of Nepal. According to a legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley, hence the name -Lang (Tibetan name for YAK), Tang (more currently “hang” means to follow). There are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions. Here, you should allow some extra days for exploration of the extensive glacier system. We return by passing the holy lakes of Gosainkunda, an important place of pilgrimage, and over a high pass that brings us almost to the edge of Kathmandu itself.

Arrival in Kathmandu Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu .Short briefing will follow concerning the necessary formalities and your trekking itinerary. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby sanctuaries or resting.
Today after having breakfast we will drive to Syabru Besi from Kathmandu. On the way we can have the beautiful views of the mountain and rice terrains. We will reach to Syabrubesi in about 8-9 hours after driving 117km long distance from Kathmandu. The village is mostly inhabited by Tamang people. Overnight in Syabru Besi.
After having our breakfast in Lama-Hotel we will climb through a variety of small villages and tracts of dense forest. We will also visit a Gompa of guru Rinpoche on the way. The trek becomes a pleasant walk through trees where we can see Langur monkey (The honey hunter animal) frolic we will be passing a stream and small waterfalls before reaching to Lama Hotel. Stay overnight in Lama Hotel.
After having breakfast the trek begins. From here short climb brings us to the right of where the Langtang valley begins as you start going up you will be able to see the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung peak. It is easy to find yak and the wild goats wondering around you. Overnight in a lodge.
We will have our early morning breakfast and start our trek to a beautiful town which provide excellent panoramic close up view of Langtang Lirung Genjempol, Ganjala and Naya Kenga Himal ranges. A visit to cheese factory, see the beautiful Buddhist Monastery built 400 years ago. It is a good experience to try to climb to Tsergo Ri (5033m). Upon reaching Kyanjin Gompa you will get to see the amazing views of the surroundings. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Today will be rest day at Kyanjing Gompa. We will be visiting around the Gumba. We will also visit the cheese factory where we will test fresh cheese.We will also hike to Tserko Ri where we will get the best views of Langtang Lirung, Langtang Range, Yansa Tenji and many more. Overnight at Kyanjing Gompa.
After having our breakfast in Kyanjin we will start our trek back to Lama Hotel. We will follow the trail all the way to Langtang River and enter Langtang Village. On our way we will witness the mesmerizing views of the mountains which we have missed climbing upwards. Later we will visit Ghora Tabela take rest for some time and again start our trek down to Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel
After having breakfast in Lama Hotel we will start our trek back to Syabru Besi. Following the same route we used to climb up we will trek down. We will pass through different villages like Thulo syabru and cross a suspension bride and pass by small water streams along our way. Overnight at Syabru Besi.
After having our breakfast in Syabru Besi we will take a Jeep and drive back to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu we will check in to the hotel. A farewell dinner organized by Actual Adventure team will be waiting for you at evening. Overnight at Kathmandu.
A representative from Actual Adventure will transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with lots of a hope of seeing you again in the future.
