Bhairab Kunda Lake Trek

The 13days <strong>Bhairab Kunda Lake Trek</strong> takes you to the high altitude holy mountain lake called ‘Bhairab Kunda’ at 4200m. The lake is scared site for Shamans, Hindus and Buddhist. It is believed that if one takes bath in this beautiful tranquil lake, all their sins will be cleared. People belonging to the religion can also visit to this lake as Pilgrims. During the full moon day in August many pilgrims visit this lake including ‘Dhami and Jhakris’ (witch doctor) to communicate with the sprits.

Our trek starts from Jalbire which is about five hours drive from Kathmandu. The trek is not just visiting the lake but exploring the whole region as a whole. On our way to Jalbire we will see several green forests, snow capped mountains, terraced fields and many more. We will also enjoy the Newari culture in Jalbire. Jalbire will be the starting point of our trek; from there we will be passing through several villages inhabited mostly by Tamang people who are believed to be originated from Tibet. This trek also lets you to interact with the locals, know about their day to day life, and witness the untouched culture and traditions.

Day 03: Jalbire to Chanaute (1350m/4430ft)

Day 04: Chanaute to Khani Gaon 2000m/ 6562ft.

Day 05: Rest Day in Khani Gaon.

Day 06: Khani Gaon to Forest Camp. 3150m

Day 07:  Forest Camp to Pati (3905m/12959ft)

Day 08:  Pati to Bhairav Kunda. (4100m/13452ft)

Day 09: Bhairav Kunda to Bhairav Kunda top and Sherpa Gaon.

Day 10: Rest Day at Sherpa Gaon.

Day 11: Sherpa Gaon to Larcha

Day 12: Larcha to Kathmandu.

Day 13: Final Departure.
