Upper Mustang Overland Jeep Tour is one of the standard and luxurious tour packages in Nepal. This tour takes you to one of the most isolated region and natural wonder of Nepal via comfortable jeep drive. The tour takes you to one of the most remote and untraded path of Nepal where you can see undulated cultures and traditions. The region is inhabited by Buddhist and the Tibetan cultures are highly preserved. Upper Mustang is also known as the Kingdom Of Lo and one of the most preserved area which was restricted by Nepal Government until 1992. Most of the people of this region still speak their traditional language and are seen in their traditional wear. This region is also regarded as the centre of Buddhist teachings and art.
This is one of the most fascinating tours which take you to a place with its unique landscapes, barren lands, rocky paths along with the magnificent views of mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and other mountains. On your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport our representative from Actual Adventure will be there waiting for you to receive you holding your name card. After welcoming you will be transferred to the hotel in our private vehicle. At evening we will also organize a welcome dinner for you and we will have short discussion about the trip.
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will take a ride to the city of Lakes, Pokhara following Trishuli River. During our journey we will see villages, paddy fields and many religious sites and a historical town of Bandipur.Afternoon can be enjoyed by the lake as the hotel is located near to the lake. After driving about 6 hours we will reach to Pokhara. Stay Overnight at hotel in Pokhara
We will have our breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara and then fly to Jomsom. After landing in Jomsom airport we will be welcomed by the spectacular views of the mountains and the valley itself. We will observe the surrounding with a cup of tea/coffee and then take a jeep and start our journey to Kagbeni. You will be driving through sandy roads in between the barren fields and mountains where you will also see the spectacular views of the terraced fields, snow capped mountains and several flowing rivers. Overnight in Kagbeni.
Today after having our breakfast we will drive to a holy temple Muktinath. We will have a short drive to the temple. After reaching the temple we will spend some time. There are 108 natural water taps which is believed to have great significance for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. The temple is a symbol of peace and power. Moreover, it offers a magnificent view of the snow capped mountains and Mustang valley. After visiting the temple we will drive back to Kagbeni for overnight stay.
We will have our breakfast and start our journey. We will drive along the banks of Kaligandaki river crossing several villages along our way. We will also visit a small cave monastery on our way in Chhuksang village and continue our drive to Chaile. We will cross a river and then drive up passing some small village we will then cross Dojong La pass and then reach to Ghami village. Overnight at Ghami.
After having our breakfast we will visit Dhakmar and then cross the Tsarang La Pass and then continue our drive Tsarang. We will visit a Monastery on our way and spend some time there. After that we will continue our drive to Lo Manthang. Lo Manthang is the capital of Mustang district. It is also known as the walled capital. We will get to observe the Tibetan Buddhist culture in this village. Overnight in Lo Manthang.
Today we will be spending a day in Lo Manthang. After having breakfast we will explore the village. We will then have a short drive to Kora la border between Nepal and Tibet. Along our way we will be able to see the local animals such as Yaks grazing in the fields and see typical Tibetan styles homes. The lifestyle of people living there is influenced by the Tibetan Buddhism. We will also explore the Cave home which has 100 rooms in a single wall with a single door. After that we will return back to Lo Manthang. Overnight in Lo Manthang.
We will have our breakfast and drive towards Lori Gompa. On our way we will cross Yara village and then cross Ghara village and then arrive to Lori Gompa. There we will see very old cave monastery and explore the hidden Kabum. The Lori Gompa is one of the unique creations in of the district.After visiting the Gompa we will drive back to Lo Manthang. Overnight in Lo Manthang.
After having our breakfast in Lo Manthang we will drive back to Kagbeni. We will drive through the side of rivers and cross several villages along our way before we reach to Kagbeni. The drive offers mesmerizing views of the villages and mountains. Overnight in Kagbeni.
We will have our breakfast and start our drive to Lete. We will be driving via Chuksang, Kagbeni, Jomsom and Marpha villages. Our drive takes us to different landscapes and topography from barren lands to green forests and from wide roads to narrow roads somewhere smooth and some where rough. Our overnight will be at Lete.
We will have our breakfast in Lete and start our journey. On our way we will also visit Tatopani which is a natural hot water spring. We will drive through the routes that lie between the hills and forests. After arriving in Beni we will have lunch and then drive to Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Your holiday in Nepal ends here. A representative from Nepal Trekking Trial will transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with lots of a hope of seeing you again in the future. If you want you can also add an additional tour package offered by the company.
